Re the new health care legislation:
What happened to our rights? This is crazy. I currently do not have health insurance as I cannot afford it, but mostly because I do not need it. I have always been a healthy person, thank God, and even when I did have insurance through work several years ago, I rarely ever used it in the 12 years I had it.
There will be people at the doctor all the time when they have insurance, just because they can. The doctors will be busy with people who do not need to be there. People who need to get in will wait longer and for some doctors the wait is long enough already.
I do not like the idea that I will be fined if I don't have insurance. Where does the money come from to pay the fine? I guess that I will be fined as I will not be forced into something that I do not need. I am forced into auto insurance and I have had one accident in over 40 years. I have to pay extra for uninsured motorists, and that is nuts. We are all supposed to have auto insurance, so why do I have to pay for such a thing? And now the government wants me to find the money from somewhere to pay for something else I do not need.

Where are our rights? We are made to wear a seat belt, and that is against our rights. It harms no one else if I choose to not wear a seat belt. When it is your time to go, it is your time to go. If that was not true, then why do some people who do have on a seat belt get killed? Then there are those that do not have one on and they survive. Be forced to wear a seat belt?
As I always say anymore, please take me back to the '50s. Life was simple and people had rights.
