A heat advisory is in effect for northeastern South Carolina including, according to Accuweather. The advisory is set for 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Heat indexes values will be 105 to 108 degrees in some areas due to high temperatures and humidity. Residents are warned to take breaks from the heat and be on the lookout for heat-related illnesses.
