2025 election results: All Horry County municipality mayoral and council races
Editor’s note: This story was updated to show the exact number of ballots cast in smaller races and include Loris’ election results. (Updated 11:50 a.m. Nov. 5, 2025)
Although Horry County didn’t have any elections this November, many of its municipalities voted in new mayors and council members.
Election results won’t officially be certified until Thursday, Nov. 6, but preliminary results show who will lead Horry County’s cities and towns starting January 2026.
Town of Atlantic Beach 2025 election results
Incumbent Atlantic Beach Town Council members John David, with 48 votes, and Edward Lamar Campbell, with 46 of the votes, were reelected Tuesday night. Town voters cast a total of 142 votes.
Town of Aynor 2025 election results
Landon K. Johnson was elected the next mayor of Aynor, with 112 out of 128 votes.
Of the 266 Aynor Town Council votes, Michael Dorman and Wiley Robby Taylor were voted in, with 83 votes and 76 votes, respectively.
Town of Briarcliffe Acres 2025 election results
Voters elected three town council members with three candidates on the ballot. With 94 ballots cast, unexpired term candidate Jennifer Kuperman received 92 votes.
For the other two elected council candidates, there were a total of 188 votes. Laura Pendley received 85 of those votes, and Sam Miller got 82 of the votes.
City of Conway 2025 election results
Amanda Butler received 28.85% of Conway’s city council votes, Beth Helms got 25.22% of votes and William Goldfinch earned 23.58% of votes. All three candidates are incumbent Conway City Council members.
City of Loris 2025 election results
Incumbent Loris City Council members Kelli Gerald and Carroll Padgett Jr. were reelected with 273 votes and 236 votes, consecutively.
The third council seat will be determined in a Nov. 18 runoff election. Newcomer Candice Grella, who received 165 votes, will go up against incumbent councilwoman Andrea Coleman, who got 163 votes.
City of Myrtle Beach 2025 election results
Mark Kruea narrowly avoided a runoff election to become Myrtle Beach’s next mayor with 51.47% of mayoral votes.
Incumbent councilman Mike Lowder was the only Myrtle Beach City Council candidate to win his race outright, with 18.14% of votes.
For the remaining two council seats, the next three most popular candidates will advance to a runoff election on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Voters will choose between incumbent councilwoman Jackie Hatley, who got 15.44% of votes, businessman Nick Vaugh, who received 13.76% of votes, and incumbent councilman Phil Render, who had 13.41% of votes.
City of North Myrtle Beach 2025 election results
Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem J. Baldwin was voted North Myrtle Beach’s next mayor, with 70.14% of votes.
Incumbent councilman at-large Trey Skidmore was reelected with 73.44% of votes, unopposed incumbent Ocean Drive councilman Bubba Collins was reelected with 98.53% of the vote and newcomer Jeri McCumbee was elected as the next Windy Hill councilwoman with 52.96% of votes.
Town of Surfside Beach 2025 election results
Incumbent town councilman Rick Lawhorn won his reelection race with 28.17% of the vote. Surfside Beach voters elected two newcomers to take the remaining two council seats, John Hiatt and Chris Stamey, both of whom received 17.75% of the votes.
When will results be official?
Because these numbers are all preliminary, most won’t be official until they’re certified on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m.
Myrtle Beach’s city council runoff election is the exception. On Tuesday, Nov. 18, Myrtle Beach voters will once again cast ballots to determine the remaining two council seats.
