A group of Chinese school pricipals are visiting Myrtle Beach.
Members of the Ministry of Education for the People’s Republic of China are visiting Horry, Georgetown and Marion county schools and touring teacher-education classrooms at Coastal Carolina University this week, according to a CCU news release.
A delegation of 25 Chinese school principals visited middle and high school classrooms to learn about school administration, teacher education and school management practices, according to CCU.
On Tuesday, the delegation visited Horry-Georgetown Technical College.
The trip was organized through Coastal Carolina University’s partnership with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and the Chinese Council for International Educational Exchange, according to the news release.
The Chinese government paid all the costs, according to Darla Dome-Damonte, associate provost for global initiatives at CCU.
