Avery Graham, Willy Li and Shane Ragusa, all from Horry County, have been accepted to the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics in Hartsville along with students from across the state to form the Class of 2016.
Avery Graham, son of Michael and Kelly Graham, and Tracy and Kevin Wade; and Shane Ragusa, son of Michael and Lisa Ragusa, transferred to the school from the Academy for Arts, Science and Technology. Willy Li, son of Nai Guang Li and Xiu Lan Ni, transferred from Aynor High School.
GSSM is a public, residential high school for academically talented juniors and seniors. It offers unique, college-level courses and a hands-on curriculum with a special focus on science, technology, engineering, math and research, along with concentrations in economics and entrepreneurship, and has been nationally recognized for its overall excellence.
