Update: Teen killed at Conway bus stop linked to homicide. Police find car seen in video
A Conway man was arrested for allegedly conspiring to rob and kill someone in January.
Conway Police arrested Justice Jhamere Bright, 22, on March 24 for allegedly robbing Ty’ree Leonardo Graham, 25, which resulted in his death, according to the arrest warrant.
On Jan. 10, Bright and Jah’Mir Johnson, the 18-year-old who was shot and killed at a school bus stop in Conway, armed themselves with a 9mm handgun and robbed Graham, the report said. During the robbery, Graham was shot and died at the hospital the next morning, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden.
The robbery occurred at 1778 Hemingway St. The police reports did not say whether it was Bright or Johnson who shot Graham, but Bright has been charged with accessory to murder because the two men planned to rob and murder Graham.
Along with accessory before the fact of murder, Bright has been charged with pointing and presenting a firearm, armed robbery, and resisting arrest. He is currently being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bail.
Johnson was shot three weeks after Graham on Feb. 1. Conway Police Department have not arrested someone for the killing of Johnson. Johnson was waiting at a bus stop in Conway when he was shot and killed in February.
Conway Police said on Wednesday they found the car and are searching it for forensic evidence linked to the murder investigation, which is ongoing, according to a press release.
A home surveillance video obtained by WPDE has audio of gun shots going off and then a car driving off.
