Myrtle Beach police charge couple with prostitution

Myrtle Beach police arrested a couple early Monday on charges of prostitution during an undercover operation, according to a police report.

Sarah Lynn Letourneau, 22, and Jonathan Edward Trupp, 43, were each charged with first-offense prostitution and were being held as of 6 a.m. Monday on $781 cash bonds, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.

An officer working undercover wrote in the report that he made contact with Letourneau through an advertisement and text messaged her, police said. She agreed to meet the officer for an hour session for $200, but no sexual acts were discussed at that time.

The officers were at a motel on Kings Highway when other officers saw Trupp drop Letourneau off at 12:15 a.m. Monday, according to the report. Letourneau agreed to perform a sexual act and was taken into custody inside the motel room.

Officers found Trupp in a vehicle on the north side of the hotel and took him into custody, according to the report.
