A Whittemore Park Middle School teacher is facing a harassment charge following an incident last month, according to a police report.
Conway police charged Adam Varnadore, 36, with first-degree harassment after officers were called about 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 28, and a 44-year-old victim reported that Varnadore had followed her while she was driving in the city, according to a police report.
Police said the victim told them she felt scared after he followed her and drove by her several times. She showed officers two large folders filled with police reports, pictures, and records of correspondence between her and Varnadore, authorities said.
Based on the past police reports and the information the victim showed police, officers determined that Varnadore had harassed the victim, according to the report.

Varnadore went on a short leave from his teaching position with Horry County schools because that is the district’s policy if there is an arrest, but he has since returned to his position, according to Teal Harding, spokeswoman with Horry County schools.
Harding said the incident with Varnadore is not connected to the school where he works in any way.
