A Myrtle Beach man told police his former neighbor came to his house and assaulted him with a gun and damaged his property, while a female accomplice brandished a handgun, according to a police report.
Police were called about 1 a.m. Saturday to a home on the 1200 block of Sessions St., off Highway 15, where a 29-year-old man reported the incident, officers said.
The victim told police he heard someone knocking at his door and yelling outside. When he opened the door, he recognized his 21-year-old former neighbor, who had walked back to his car and was loudly arguing with a woman who was with him.
The victim said he asked them to stop being so loud, and the alleged attacker grabbed a rifle or shotgun from his car and threw it at the victim, hitting him in his left shoulder, according to the report.
Police said the victim told them that he then fell on the porch and the alleged attacker pushed him into a glass door, causing the door to shatter and fall off the hinges.
The victim said the woman with the alleged attacker then stepped out of the car and begin waving a small handgun around.
The alleged attacker then picked up a small flower pot from the front lawn and threw it through the victim’s living room window, according to the report.
A witness told police she then saw the alleged attacker push the victim into the door.
Both the victim and witness identified the suspect to police, and authorities have requested arrest warrants for him.
Police are still investigating the incident. No arrests had been made as of Saturday morning.
