A Myrtle Beach man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 45 years in prison after a jury was selected for his trial on drug charges, according to authorities.
Henry Lee Kinlaw, 38, of Myrtle Beach pleaded guilty to second-offense trafficking cocaine base 28-100 grams, second-offense trafficking cocaine 28-100 grams and second-offense distribution of cocaine base, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Circuit Court Judge John C. Hayes III sentenced Kinlaw to 15 years on each charge for a total of 45 years in prison because the sentences will run consecutively, according to Stephen Grooms, assistant solicitor.
The 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit investigated the case in 2012 and learned Kinlaw was trafficking and distributing drugs from the Days Inn on Waccamaw Boulevard, Grooms said.
