Police say a man was robbed and thrown from the fifth floor of Boardwalk Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach Friday afternoon.
According to a Myrtle Beach police report, officers responded to the 2300 block of Ocean Avenue North around 4:15 p.m. Friday and spoke with a witness who said he saw a man being chased by two men and one woman in their late teens or early twenties.
The witness told police he was going to his vehicle in the parking lot next to the north tower when he heard a splash and walked around to the front of the tower where he was the victim in the water directly beside the entrance, according to the report.
The witness told police he pulled the man out of the water and onto the sidewalk. The man told the witness his name, said he’d been robbed and that the two men and the woman had thrown him over the fifth floor balcony, police said.
