A Myrtle Beach man is facing attempted murder and arson charges related to an incident police say occurred in October.
Randy Lee Martinelli, 37, is charged with third-degree arson and four counts of attempted murder, according to Horry County police records.
Martinelli was booked on the charges Wednesday at J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway.
Police responded on Oct. 18 to a report about a domestic incident on Grapevine Drive and learned there also was a fire at the location. When officers arrived firefighters were on the scene and the fire was out. A resident in the home said he fired shots at a person suspected of setting the fire.

Investigators later learned that a vehicle that the victim said he fired at matched the description of a truck driven by Martinelli, and that Martinelli matched the description of the person seen away from the home, according to a police report.
Police said they saw areas where there was fire at the home and found a bottle nearby that seemed to smell of gasoline. No injuries were reported.
