A Little River man was arrested after North Myrtle Beach police said he made a bomb threat to a local Wal-Mart, according to authorities.
Justin Matthew McCoy, 23, of Little River was booked into the North Myrtle Beach Jail at 10:38 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of first-offense making a bomb threat, according to jail records. McCoy remained jailed at 6:30 a.m. Thursday on $10,000 bond.
North Myrtle Beach police were called about 4 p.m. Monday to the store after a man had called and made the threat, said Pat Dowling, North Myrtle Beach city spokesman. Store managers evacuated the business and a search for anything suspicious occurred, but nothing was found.
The store was reopened about an hour later, Dowling said.
