Horry County police charged a Conway man with child neglect after officers learned two young boys were spanked after possibly spilling milk on a baby, according to a police report.
The boys, ages 3 and 4, each had marks on their chests from the incident that occurred during the Halloween weekend, police said in the report filed Sunday.
Christopher Glen Cooper, 28, of Conway was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on two counts of unlawful neglect of a child and a failure to appear summons, according to jail records. Bond was not set on the failure to appear, but it was set at $5,000 on the neglect charges.
Officers were unsure where the incident occurred and the report did not list the extent of their injuries, according to the report. Cooper told officers the boys had fallen and caused the injuries.
