A Longs man was charged with two counts of attempted murder Wednesday after two of his neighbors told police they were stabbed while sitting on the front porch of one of the victims, according to a police report.
Jason Anthony Bellamy, 35, of Longs was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday on the two counts of attempted murder, according to jail records. He remained held Wednesday evening.
In the Horry County police report, a 36-year-old man and a 52-year-old man each suffered multiple stab wounds about 7 p.m. Tuesday at a home along Happy Drive in Longs.
Both men live along the road and told officers that they were sitting on the front porch when Bellamy came over and for no reason started stabbing them, according to the report. Bellamy was taken into custody at his home, also located on Happy Drive.

A 48-year-old man, who also lives in that area, told police that earlier in the day Bellamy took his puppy and threw it to the ground, killing it, according to the report.
The men were each taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment of multiple stab wounds to their bodies, according to the report. Officers searched for the knife used in the attacks, but did not locate it.
