Myrtle Beach police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Thursday evening outside an Ocean Boulevard motel, according to a police report.

Officers were called about 6 p.m. Thursday to 2608 S. Ocean Blvd., and found a 48-year-old Myrtle Beach man on the ground being treated by EMS, police said. A 30-year-old man also was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center by EMS to be treated for a stab wound on his stomach and a cut to his arm.

Officers learned the property manager went to the older man’s room and issued a 24-hour eviction notice from his room, but the man got upset and yelled at the manager, according to the report. The younger man, who was stabbed, came out and asked the suspect to stop yelling because his children were nearby and could hear the disturbance.

The victim said he followed the suspect downstairs and the men argued again before the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, according to the report. The victim said he went and retrieved a stick, while the manager also got a baton, but they found the suspect having a seizure on the curb and police were called.
