A Conway area man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend and holding her against her will at a home they shared with their two children, according to a police report.
Machael Wixted Faile, 31, was charged with kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday, according to jail records. He is being held there pending a bond hearing.
A taxi cab driver called police at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday after he went to pick up the victim, a 27-year-old woman at a home on East Pine Loop in the Conway area, according to a police report. The driver told officers he had dropped the victim and her two children, ages 2 and 1, there earlier in the morning after she had an argument with Faile while at his brother’s home.
The woman asked the driver to return to take her to work that morning, according to the report. The driver said when he arrived, he saw Faile sweeping broken glass off the front porch and through an open front door a broken table and items turned over in the living room.

The driver said Faile told him to leave, but the victim yelled for him to call police that Faile had thrown her into a table, choked her and taken her cell phone, according to the report. The driver left and called police.
Officers kicked open the door to get inside the home because Faile refused to open the door and repeatedly told police to leave, according to the report.
The victim told police that she argued with Faile at his brother’s home before she left there, according to the report. She said Faile crawled through a window into the home, pinned her on the bed and demanded money.
The victim said Faile accused her of stealing $80 from him, choked her, broke several things in the home, threw her into the washing machine and a table in the living room, according to the report. The victim said Faile took her cell phone.
