A Pawleys Island officer was the first law enforcement officer on the scene and told deputies that Edwards was on the ground and had a faint pulse.

Edwards was found on his back between a sliver Dodge Durango and a trash dumpster on the south side of the club parking lot, according to the report. The driver’s door of the vehicle was open, but the report did not list who the vehicle belonged to.

Midway Fire Rescue took Edwards to the hospital where he later died.
