Bob Anderson beat out Barry McCall by about 10 percentage points in the race for the District 6 seat on the Georgetown County Council Tuesday night.
Anderson, the winner of the Republican primary, will represent Pawleys Island, as there is no Democratic challenger for the November general election.
Anderson had 871 votes over McCall's 680 percent, with six of nine precincts reporting. The remaining "extra precincts" include provisional and challenged ballots and will not affect the outcome, said Donna Mahn, director of the Election and Voter Registration Board.
The vote will be certified Thursday.
