Drivers to see increased police presence on US 501, SC 544 in Horry County. Here’s why

Drivers will see an increased presence of South Carolina Highway Patrol and Department of Transportation personnel Wednesday along U.S. 501 and S.C. 544 in Horry County.
The state will conduct a hurricane lane reversal exercise from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a Facebook post from the Horry County Emergency Management.
Traffic flow will not be impacted, and no traffic lanes will be reversed during the exercise, but motorists will see a number of emergency personnel, the post said.
