The National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C. has issued a flood warning for part of Horry County.
The flood warning is in effect from about 9 a.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. March 12 and is issued for the Little Pee Dee River area at Galivants Ferry, according to the weather service.
Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to continue for the issued area. The Little Pee Dee River is at 9.5 feet, and flood level is noted at 9 feet.
Flood waters will affect residential yards in the Fork Retch community upstream of Galivants Ferry near the town of Nichols in Marion County.
Swampland flooding will become noticable and natural boat landings will be flooded, according to the weather service.
