A dense fog advisory is in effect for the Myrtle Beach area until 8 a.m. Wednesday, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C.
Visibility is near zero in some areas of the Grand Strand and motorists should use extra caution early Wednesday.
Motorists should slow down, use low beam headlights, allow extra following distance and watch for pedestrians and children at school bus stops, forecasters said. Boaters should also use caution and inexperienced mariners should avoid navigating until conditions improve.
