Town Council in Surfside Beach will take a look at a resolution addressing barking at the dog park Tuesday.
Councilman Randle Stevens submitted a resolution and corresponding sign to the town clerk for council’s consideration. The sign reads “Please be courteous and respectful to your dog park neighbors. No dog barking and loud noise.”
The corresponding ordinance proposes the prohibiting the use of the name “Barc Park” because it encourages barking and allows “any animal to make long, frequent or continued noise which disturbs the comfort or repose of any person in the vicinity of the dog park.”
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at 115 U.S. 17 North.
