Horry County police charge three Little River men in robbery of pizza delivery driver

Three Little River men are facing charges in connection with a November robbery of a pizza delivery driver, according to Horry County authorities.

Mannie Garrick Bessent, 26, Robert Antwine Bessent, 25 and Jonathon Mascia Spring, 19, all of Little River were arrested during the weekend on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in an incident that occurred about 5 p.m. Nov. 7, according to jail and police reports.

Mannie Bessent and Robert Bessent were booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Saturday afternoon, while Spring is was booked into the North Myrtle Beach Jail at 1:48 a.m. Sunday, according to jail records. Each man is being held on $50,000 bail.

The charges stem from a Domino’s pizza delivery driver’s report that he was robbed at gunpoint when he made a deliver to 4191 Golf Ave., in Little River, according to a police report.

The 49-year-old victim told police he was met by a man and then three other men, who wore masks, came from the woods and pointed a handgun at him and demanded his money.

The men took about $30 cash and the pizza and ran into the woods, according to the report.

Officers searched the area and found the pizza bag on Fairway Drive.
