Donations: AAA Re-Sale Antiques and Collectables, 2290 S.C. 544, Conway, holds holiday food drive from Dec. 12-19. Donations can be dropped off from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. Items needed are rice, tuna, grits, cereal, oatmeal, peanut butter, dried or canned beans, canned fruits and vegetables, and diapers and personal hygiene. Items donated and 10 percent of all store sales will be donated to The LowCountry Food Bank.

Food drive: ITT Technical Institute is in need of canned goods and non-perishables to benefit the community. Donations can be dropped off before Dec. 14, at Myrtle Beach campus, 9654 N. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach or call 497-7820 to schedule a pick up.

Donations: The North Strand Helping Hand will be distributing Christmas dinner meal fixings for those in need. They are in need of cans or packets of turkey gravy, box stuffing and canned cranberries. Deadline is Dec. 13 to drop off items at the NMB Chamber of Commerce or the NMB Aquatic & Fitness Center. Donations: Wal-Mart hosts “Fill the Truck” Toy Drive to support The Salvation Army of Horry County initiative to help provide a cheerful Christmas to local children from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at each Wal-Mart in Horry and Georgetown counties.

Fundraiser: The Grand Strand Humane Society begins its “Dollars for Dogs” holiday fundraiser until Dec. 31. The shelter is asking everyone in the community to send in $1 to help the homeless and abandoned animals during the holiday season. The goal is to raise $5,000. All monetary donations can be mailed to or dropped off at the shelter at 3241 Mr. Joe White Ave., Myrtle Beach. Donations: South Strand Helping Hand is in dire need of help. They have children that need individuals, families or organizations to buy gifts for them. Donations: Home Instead Senior Care is teaming up with nonprofit agencies and area retailers to sponsor “Be a Santa to a Senior” program that collects, wraps and delivers gifts to lonely and needy seniors in Georgetown and Horry counties. The program runs through Wednesday. There will be a community gift wrapping party, from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, with Santa on hand, at Inlet Square mall, U.S.17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet.
