A woman was killed and another is in critical condition after a one-car wreck in western Horry County this morning.
The wreck was reported about 6 a.m. on U.S. 501 near the intersection of Brown Swamp Road, which is located northwest of Conway, according to Todd Cartner with Horry County Fire Rescue.
Toby Eagle, 20, of Baltimore, Md., was pronounced dead at the scene, Coroner Robert Edge said.
Another victim, who was ejected from the vehicle, was taken to Conway Medical Center and then flown to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Cartner said. She was listed in critical condition.

A third person was involved in the wreck, but that person was not injured.
The vehicle ran off the road the shoulder of the road and flipped over, Cartner said.
The woman left Baltimore last night and were in the area on vacation, Edge said.
It is the second straight day the county has had a fatal, one-car vehicle crash. A Siler City, N.C., man was killed in on Thursday when his truck ran off the side of U.S. 17 in Little River.
Today's death marks the 57th traffic fatality in Horry County this year. There were only 62 fatalities in all of last year; there were 60 in 2005; and 73 in 2004.
