The National Association of Realtors released its national real estate outlook the end of June that expects new home construction and sales to outperform existing home sales at least for the rest of this year.
Both are expected to rise comfortably this year and next. Existing homes, the outlook says, will fall “a bit” short this year when compared to last, but will show growth in 2015.
Home prices will rise over the next two years, according to the Realtors association, but at a manageable single-digit rate of appreciation.
