The “Moveable Feast” literary luncheon series is booked to coast well into autumn, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Fridays at a rotation of restaurants, each with a book signing at 2 p.m. that day at Litchfield Books, in The Fresh Market Commons, 11421 Ocean Highway (U.S. 17), Pawleys Island – for anyone unable to attend the lunch.

Each luncheon is $30 with a $5 rebate when the guest author’s book is purchased on site. Make reservations at 843-235-9600 or classatpawleys.com.

Although the Aug. 11 feast with Kathy Reichs, author of “Two Nights,” is full, here is the rest of the schedule:

— Aug. 18 – Joy Callaway (“Secret Sisters”) at Kimbels, at Wachesaw Plantation, west of Murrells Inlet.

— Aug. 25 – Tony Bartelme (“A Surgeon in the Village”) at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club, in Pawleys Island.

— Sept. 1 – Nicole Seitz (“The Cage-maker”) at Kimbels.

— Sept. 8 – Sean Keefer (“The Solicitor”) at Sea View Inn, in Pawleys Island.

— Sept. 15 – Jim Fergus (“The Vengeance of Mothers”) at 21 Main, in North Myrtle Beach

— Sept. 22 – Dana Ridenour (“Beyond the Cabin”) at Austin’s Ocean One, in Litchfield Beach.

— Sept. 29 – Johnathan Scott Barrett (“Cook & Tell: Recipes and Stories from Southern Kitchens”) at Inlet Affairs, in Murrells Inlet.

— Oct. 6 – Diane Chamberlain (“The Stolen Marriage”) at Pawleys Plantation.

— Oct. 13 – L. Kerr Dunn and Robin Salmon (“Dreaming with Animals”) at Litchfield Country Club, in Litchfield Beach.

— Oct. 20 – Daren Wang (“The Hidden Light of Northern Fires”) at Kimbels.

Seafood fans know they’re in for a treat when the catch of the day catches their eye before they even make it to the table. This month, The Flying Fish will be celebrating their eighth anniversary in North Myrtle Beach.

First-time guests will notice right away that the restaurant also is a market, with some of that day’s haul on display, including entire fish on ice gazing woefully through the glass. This fresh food is one of the many reasons The Flying Fish is so popular, with the business promising less than 48 hours between boat and plate.
