Pizza shop coming to shopping center in the Myrtle Beach area

A family-owned pizza restaurant is opening a location in the Myrtle Beach area soon.

River Oaks Pizzeria, a New York-based business, will be in the Marketplace at the Mill development in Carolina Forest.

The restaurant will serve New York-style pizza, entrees and craft cocktails. Guests will be able to make reservations, dine-in and order takeout.

The first River Oaks location opened in 1998 in the Bronx, N.Y., and the family has since opened more restaurants in the New York area, according to a company Facebook post.

The business will be in the shopping center off of Sapwood Road where the newly built Publix Market Place opened.
