Brad Redding’s Tip of the Week (Dec. 12)

Weird club

I like to create success and then add a challenge to juniors. I have a tennis racquet that I have put a golf shaft and grip into the end. Now I can get them to grip the “club” correctly. We tee up the tennis ball lower and hit the ball still finishing correctly – club behind back and head, weight on lead foot, heel of back foot and on the toe and belt buckle toward target. As they have more success, take the tennis ball away and put a golf ball on the tee. Building on success and then challenging them is fun for most juniors.
