Volunteers needed to distribute meals to children: 8:30-9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Mondays (through Aug. 17; distribution to those ages 1-18 at various sites in Brunswick County, N.C.: Ash, Bolivia, Ocean Isle Beach, Shallotte and Supply, N.C. Call 910-754-4766 to register.

Laptop and weed whipper needed for maintenance: The Old Bridge Preservation Society is restoring the Tender House at the Old Bridge site in Sunset Beach, N.C. The organization seeks donation of a gas-powered weed whipper to maintain the property and a laptop to maintain records.
