A Myrtle Beach tow truck driver and two other witnesses told police they saw a group of men drive up in two separate vehicles and fight, according to a police report.
The driver called police at 2:30 a.m. Sunday to the 600 block of Seaboard Street for the incident, police said. The man reported he was across the street releasing a vehicle he had towed there.
The man said two vehicles pulled into the lot across from him and one man got out of a Mountaineer vehicle and punched the driver’s window out of a Chevy Tahoe, according to the report. The driver of the Tahoe got out with a handgun and chased the man back to the Mountaineer where the two men argued.
The driver and the two witnesses reported hearing a loud noise that they thought was a gunshot and then saw the driver of the Tahoe return to his vehicle, according to the report. The witnesses said several men then got out of both vehicles and fought in the parking lot before they each returned to their vehicles and left.
