Three more people arrested on murder charges in nightclub shooting

Three more people have been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 26-year-old man, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.

Tamar Yaron Bryant, 17, Kawaun Montique Myers, 24, and Brandon Tahj Cheek, 19, were each arrested this week and charged with murder in the death of 26-year-old Deon Myers, who was killed March 15 in the Plantersville Community, according to authorities.

Camron Lamar Green, 21, of Conway and Lavern Holmes, 31, of Georgetown, were each arrested and charged with murder last week in connection with Myers’ death.

Cheek was charged Monday with murder after he was arrested by the Georgetown City Police on unrelated charges. Myers was arrested at his Georgetown home on Wednesday and charged with murder.

Bryant was arrested Friday morning at the Budget Inn Motel in Georgetown after sheriff’s deputies received a tip and found him at the motel. Bryant was not a guest at the motel and surrendered.

The men are being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Officers found Myers on the floor of the Ghost Den with a gunshot wound to his face on March 15. He died three days later at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Witnesses told investigators that three men came into the club wearing masks and took Myers outside. Witnesses said they heard a single gunshot then the suspects left in a burgundy Mercury Sable.
