A Conway woman was released on $1,100 bail after being charged with cruelty to children after police found three children in a vehicle outside a clothing store, according to a release.
Leanne Marie Lee Sanchez, 23, was charged Tuesday after police were called about 3 p.m. to Coastal Center located at 1612 Church St., for the children alone in the vehicle, police said.
Conway Municipal Judge Andy Hendrick set Sanchez’s bond at $1,100 on Wednesday and she was released from J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 2 p.m. that day, according to records. Sanchez is set to appear in court at 9 a.m. April 27.
The children ranged in age from 2 to 5 and included Sanchez’s child and two other she was babysitting, according to the release. A witness called police after seeing Sanchez leave the Ford Expedition with the children alone inside.

The vehicle’s windows were rolled down, but the children were perspiring profusely when police arrived, according to authorities. Officers found Sanchez soon after they arrived when she exited Citi Trends clothing store.
When asked why she left the children unattended, Sanchez told police that she did not see anything wrong with leaving the children alone in the vehicle because she was only gone for a minute, according to the release. An officer spoke with employees in Citi Trends and learned that Sanchez was inside the store for approximately 30 minutes.
The children were released to their respective guardians and Sanchez’s child was released to her mother, according to police.
