Horry County police continued Monday to search for two men who fled from a car after another man reported the people in the vehicle shot at him, according to authorities.
Erin Danielle Matthews, 19, of Myrtle Beach, was charged with simple possesion of marijuana, driving under suspension and first-offense failure to stop with a blue light in connection with the incident.
The charges were filled by S.C. Highway Patrol and charges are pending from Horry County police, said Horry County police Sgt. Robert Kegler.
The incident occurred about 4 p.m. Sunday in Socastee, Kegler said.
A 23-year-old man told police that someone fired a gun at him from another car while stopped at the traffic light at Socastee Boulevard and Dick Pond Road, police said. The man was not injured.
The man reported the incident to a nearby S.C. Highway Patrol officer who was conducting a traffic stop. The officer chased the car and eventually stopped it. Matthews was arrested but two men in the car ran away.
Horry County police are searching for the two men and anyone with information about the incident can call 915-5350.
