Masked man robbed Myrtle Beach store

A man wearing a ski mask robbed a Myrtle Beach convenience store, according to a police report.

A 31-year-old employee of the Scotchman store located at 1101 Third Ave. S., told police that about 1:30 a.m. Thursday the robber came into the store, police said.

The clerk said the man had his hands in his camouflage coat pocket and demanded money and threatened to shoot the clerk, according to the report. The clerk said he opened the cash register and put the drawer on the counter and the robber took the money from it.

The suspect ran out of the store and west on Third Avenue South. The clerk then locked the door and waited for police to arrive.
