Horry County man wanted for attempted murder turns himself in

A 27-year-old Horry County man turned himself in today to face charges in connection to a shooting last week.

Harold Levon Williams, 27, of Longs, is charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into a dwelling, said Sgt. Robert Kegler with Horry County police.

Williams was wanted in connection with a shooting that happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Castler Heights Road and Princess Drive, near Longs.

Police arrived on the scene and found the victim, who had been shot in the leg, lying in the road.

Detectives learned that the shooting was a result of a fight that took place at Club 13 on Freemont Road earlier that night.

Right before the man was shot in the leg, a residence and vehicle were shot several times on Freemont Road as well.

Williams is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway
