A 24-year-old man was killed early Friday in a single vehicle crash in Myrtle Beach, according to authorities.
The crash occurred about 1:30 a.m. today on Woodside Avenue, said Capt. David Knipes with Myrtle Beach police. The vehicle was going northbound at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred.
Antonio Christopher James, 24, of Myrtle Beach, was driving the vehicle and died at the scene of the crash, Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said. James suffered multiple traumas in the crash.
An autopsy is planned for later today.
James was not wearing a seatbelt, Knipes said. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
