Myrtle Beach police charged two men with assault after a 20-year-old reported he was kidnapped and assaulted following an incident of someone using a racial slur, according to authorities.
Casados Cloud and O’Bryant Raphael Hall, both 29, were each charged with first-degree assault and battery in connection with an incident that occurred Tuesday in the 300 block of 69th Avenue North, police said. The men were charged on Thursday.
The 20-year-old man told police that there was an argument regarding a racial slur being used at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and the man who made the comment was asked to leave and he did, according to the report. The man said two men forced him into the rear seat of a vehicle to look for the man who made the comment.
The man said he was punched several times by the men before they let him go. Police stopped the vehicle and one of the men told officers they argued with a man, but that an assault did not occur, according to the report.

A witness told police that she saw three men take the victim away in a vehicle, according to the report. Another witness told police an argument occurred about a racial slur and the suspects yelled at the victim before they put him in the vehicle to go look for the person who made the comment.
