Horry County police investigate late night shooting, suspect at large

Horry County police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night in the Longs areas and are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect.

Warrants have been issued for Harold Levon Williams, 27, of Longs.

Williams is described as being about 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He should be considered armed and dangerous, said police in a news release.

Williams is wanted in connection with a shooting that happened around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Castler Heights Road and Princess Drive, near Longs.

Police arrived on the scene and found the victim, who had been shot in the leg, lying in the road.

Detectives learned that the shooting was a result of a fight that took place at Club 13 on Freemont Road. earlier that night.

Right before the man was shot in the leg, a residence and vehicle were shot several times on Freemont Road as well.

Detectives were able to identify the alleged shooter, Williams, during the investigation, and issued warrants for him.
