Myrtle Beach police investigate rape at Ocean Boulevard hotel

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a sexual assault at an Ocean Boulevard hotel that occurred Friday night, according to a police report.

The woman, whose age as not listed on the report, told police she was in her room in the 1700 block of Ocean Boulevard and was listening to music on her laptop when someone knocked on her door, police said.

The woman said the man outside her door said he was with the hotel management and there was a complaint about her music being too loud, according to the report. The woman said when she opened the door, the man pushed his way into the room.

The woman said the man wore a black ski mask and held her against the wall before he threw her on the bed and raped her, according to the report. The woman said the man left and she called police at 10 p.m. to report the incident.
