Myrtle Beach police continue to search for a 30-year-old man suspected in the stabbing of a 35-year-old man at an Ocean Boulevard motel, according to authorities.
Police were called at 2:30 p.m. Saturday to 1105 S. Ocean Blvd., for a report of a stabbing, according to a police report. Officers found a 35-year-old man covered in blood inside a room at the location.
The man told police he met the suspect while at a friend’s room in another part of the motel, police said. The man said he ran out of the room after the other man attacked him and ran into the room where police found him because the door was unlocked.
A woman, who witnessed the attack, told police the man was in her room when the other man came to the door and pushed his way inside and “went crazy” when he saw the other man in the room, according to the report. The woman said the man attacked the other man with a knife and she tried to pull him away.

The woman said she has known the man for about 10 years and the day before the incident he threatened to kill himself, according to the report. Police responded to the room and took the man to a local hospital for treatment.
Police did not find the man in the area and the other man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
