A 21-year-old man was indicted on an attempted murder charge in connection with a shooting outside a Myrtle Beach apartment complex, according to court records.
Dennis Levon McCollum II, 21, of Longs was indicted on the charge in connection with a shooting that occurred in December at 2005 Greens Blvd., according to court records.
McCollum was arrested Dec. 29, nine days after a shooting at the complex located off 21st Avenue North, police said. McCollum was released Jan. 29 on $100,000 bail.
Myrtle Beach police said a 33-year-old man was shot in the stomach during the incident and was treated at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

The victim told police he was coming out of his apartment when McCollum met him on the porch and demanded money from him, according to the report. When the man told McCollum he didn't have any money, the man said he took a gun from his pocket and shot him in the stomach.
