A Conway man was released on $2,500 bail after police charged him in connection with a bar fight in a downtown business, according to a police report.
Jimmy Earl Edwards, 65, of Conway was charged with second-degree assault and battery following an incident about 9:30 p.m. Friday at Kimberly’s Bar and Grill located at 304 Elm St., police said.
Officers found a 53-year-old Murrells Inlet man inside the bar being treated for a cut to his back, according to the report. Witnesses and the man told police that the man’s friend attempted to go to the bathroom, but a man was standing in the hallway and blocked their way.
The man said he approached the other man and they argued before the man pulled out a knife and cut him, according to the report. The men fought and struggled with the knife and both were cut.
