A Conway man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with an assault that occurred this weekend, according to Catina Hipp, public information officer with Conway Police.
Gary Oliver, 36, received a $25,000 bond Monday morning after he appeared before Judge Andy Hendrick on the charge, Hipp said.
Police were called at 10 a.m. Saturday to a home on Oak Street for an assault where they found a man bleeding with a laceration on the left side of his neck, Hipp said. The man told police he was at his mother’s home when he argued with his brother and was cut on the neck during the incident.
The man said his brother had fled from the house before police arrived, Hipp said. The man was flown via a medical helicopter to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment and has been released from the hospital.
