Georgetown County emergency crews are responding to a brush fire that has spread to an older mobile home in the western part of the county, according to Assistant Chief Tony Hucks.
Fire crews were called just before noon today to 299 Ida Drive for the fire, Hucks said. The fire began as a yard fire and spread to an older mobile home on the property.
A shed also caught on fire. Both the mobile home and the shed were destroyed, Hucks said.
He said that the mobile home was used as a storage and no one lived in it.

Firefighters had the blaze contained to the property and were working to extinguish the blaze, Hucks said.
The S.C. Forestry Commission cut the line around the property so the fire wouldn't spread.
Fire officials are not sure where the fire started, but it does not appear that anyone was burning outside, Hucks said.
There were no injuries.
