A Myrtle Beach teen was charged with attempted murder during the weekend after police say he drove his vehicle into a business and almost struck someone with the car, according to a police report.
Kostandin Xhani, 19, was charged with attempted murder following the incident at 3:46 a.m. Friday at 641 Robert M. Grissom Parkway, police said. Xhani told police he was assaulted by someone after he crashed his vehicle into a wall at the location.
A man, who worked at the bar, told police that Xhani had been escorted out of the bar earlier for being disorderly, according to the report. The employee said Xhani was outside when he went to take the trash out after the bar closed.
The man said Xhani drove his vehicle toward him and struck the building, according to the report. The man said he jumped on the hood of the vehicle to avoid being crushed by the car. Several other people also reported they were walking on the sidewalk next to the building when the incident occurred.
