Horry County man gets 10-year prison sentence for armed robbery

A Galivants Ferry man was ordered to serve 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to armed robbery, according to court records.

Kyle Holden, 26, of Galivants Ferry pleaded guilty to armed robbery Thursday before Circuit Court Judge Michael Baxley, who sentenced him to 10 years in prison, records show.

Holden was arrested March 8 on the charge along with another man, Detrel Lindsay Huffman, 25, of Aynor, police said. Huffman pleaded guilty in January to first-degree burglary and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The charge stemmed from an incident on Jan. 30, 2010, at an Aynor area home.

The men were each indicted in May on charges of kidnapping, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, armed robbery and first-degree burglary, according to Horry County grand jury indictments.
