A jury is expected to deliberate today in the trial of a Conway woman charged in a 2008 slaying, according to a 15th Judicial Circuit prosecutor.
Brittany Johnson, 19, is on trial for the June 24, 2008, shooting death of Monica Burroughs, 29, also of Conway, according to court records.
Police said Johnson shot Burroughs, the mother of four, in the chest outside her home on Bayside Avenue in the Huckabee Heights housing project in Conway.
Johnson has been charged with murder in the incident, according to jail records.

Deputy Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said the trial, which began Monday, is expected to continue today with closing statements followed by jury deliberation.
If convicted, Johnson faces from 30 years to life in prison.
Johnson also faces charges of assault on a correctional facility employee and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, stemming from two separate incidents.
