A 20-year-old man told Myrtle Beach police he was hit in the head by another man after he gave the suspect $1, according to a police report.
The man was walking about 11 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of South Ocean Boulevard when the man approached him and asked for money, police said. The man said he gave the suspect $1, but then the suspect hit him in the head. The suspect tried to take more money from the man, but was not successful.
The man was not cooperative with police because he did not plan to report the incident, the report shows. Another person heard the man yelling and called police. The man also refused medical treatment for a cut to his head.
